Cory takes a trip to Boulder to talk with John Novosad, AKA Hippieman. A Boulder native, John started comedy in the late 70s and has been seen on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, at Comedy Works and in one of the more unique shows around the state 'Hippieman's Plans For America.'

In the smoking room at Johnny's Cigar Bar, they talk about what Boulder was like growing up, how things have changed in the state as well as the state of comedy over the last 30 plus years.

Be sure to check Hippieman out live this winter for Hippieman's Plans for America and share this episode with a friend.

Cory stops by the (some argue Denver's most eligible) bachelor pad of the inspiring Kayvan Khalatbari, owner of Sexy Pizza, Denver Relief and Sexpot Comedy.

They chat about how Kayvan went from working in the 9-5 game after leaving his home state of Nebraska to becoming the person Nebraskans ages 16-35 don't know they miss the most, yet. He helped with the cannabis fight in Colorado and is currently giving the Denver comedy scene a giant push by backing dozens of great shows and podcasts, like this very one.

Stop by Sexpot Comedy's website, donate a canned good to Denver Relief for a dollar joint and order some Sexy Pizza while you listen to Kayvan tell his Denver story.

Snag your tickets to the Sexpot Comedy One Year Anniversary Show with Todd Barry Dec. 19th.

Cory meets up with Denver native and real funny guy Ben Kronberg, who tends to spend his holidays back home rather than one of the coasts where he typically hangs his camouflage hat and notepad.

They discuss Ben's time growing up in the suburbs of Denver, how long it took him to find out how cool this city is and Ben introduces Cory to the Zodiac.

Check out his website, Comedy Central Special and be sure to see him all over Denver this month for as you knows there is no better place for the holidays.

One of Denver's best comics Chris Charpentier joins Cory for a walk down Cherry Creek Trail, which happens to lead to a place he spends much of his time, downtown Comedy Works.

Chris grew in to a man riding his bike down that trail and reminisces his life in the Denver area. From growing up in Broomfield to moving in to the neighborhood Cory's first Denver apartment sits.

They talk about What makes Denver so charming, how to avoid bad craiglist roommates and they discuss Mark Lee, the hilarious comedy ghost that wafted through Kearney Nebraska once when Cory lived there and only appears when Charpie sells bits of his soul to the devil. So thanks Charpie, for giving bits of your sould for all of us.

Denformation from Chris Charpentier himself off of The Fine Gentlemen's Club live album they recorded at Comedy Works. Enjoy the discussion, go to the Deer Pile Wednesdays at 10:30, Subscribe and rate on itunes, please.

Cory has what may be his wackiest recorded conversation yet, when he discusses handfuls of topics like prayer, being able to spend middle class money on hallucinogens and Britney Spears with his dear friend Christie Buchele.

Buchs is one of the hosts of the Empty Girlfriend podcast along with our bud Haley Driscoll. You can also see Christie's 'Makin' Fun' show at Deer Pile the last Thursday of every month. It is a kick ass show where the audience texts what they please to a projection screen behind a comic performing on stage. It is the best and you would be a real butt's hole if you don't attend.

Cory hops in to car for an interview with Steve Vanderploeg, the man who flipped out when he heard Cory had never eaten Chipotle. After a quick explanation that there were no Chipotle's where Cory is from, Steve calmed the heck down and removed his hands from Cory's throat.

This prompted Cory to reach out to Chipotle, where Jillian scored him some coupons and the episode was born. Steve is also a Denver native, a comedian friend to all and has the voice of an angel who smokes Parliaments.
